The valve threads were in fine shape because of the exceptional padding of the Thread Saver. Minimal cost to repair compared to cost of new valve or valve body and labor, I'm told. All of our SCBA cylinders have them. Great product invented by a firefighter I understand. Wished I had thought of them!
