When deciding on a Radio Controlled Siren System, required information for each decoder is: Most cities with an existing encoder in their fire department can utilize this decoder for their sirens. This way, your dispatcher will be able to activate your sirens without leaving the base station, and you can eliminate those lease payments involved in land line activation. Through radio waves, the encoder will send a set of tones that will activate your sirens as a group or individually. All models are available in either high band (150 - 174 MHz) or UHF (450-470 MHz).
