| . . . whereas the new design was thumb holes on each side for easier doning instead of the tabs. I've been testing this general model of boot for AirBoss for a couple of years. The next upgraded model that was sent to me seemed not to provide the same amount of radiant heat protection as other types of boots. I've expressed my concern to the company and fully expect them to quickly correct this shortcoming. I normally get a half size larger so I can wear an extra pair of wool socks in my boots for heat protection as well as comfort. Protect from heat is just as important as puncture resistance.
Please remember that most PPE is not reusable after a CBRNE incident and that includes boots. |
