okay (Aug 25, 2008) |
| Reviewer: Florida, USA |
| Well this helmet is alright. I'm unbiased, never had a leather helmet before. This helmet is really wide. The neck flap could be longer, and the reflexlite strips are starting to peel. I've had this helmet 2 years and it hasn't been in that many fires. The pros are that you can drop this helmet and it is still A-OK. I left mine on the tailboard and we got a call. The helmet hit the ground and rolled a good 15 feet or so. It still worked great.

Definitely overpriced for the quality (Jul 20, 2009) |
| Reviewer: Joe Ogelthorpe Jacksonville, PA |
| These helmets are definitely WAY overpriced for the quality you get. The helmet shell is not as durable as a Bullard LT or has the ratchet assembly of a Morning Pride LiteForce. The reflective tape peels on these helmets. It was no big deal before Chieftain was bought by Fire-Dex since these were the cheapest helmets on the market, but since the price has shot through the roof, you're better off getting a LiteForce or LT. |
