Wildland Back-Max fire pack features a padded shoulder harness system that actually self adjusts with your moving body. The shoulder pads themselves are not your standard rectangular design, but sewn in an “S” pattern to conform with your upper torso. This is the only wildland fire pack with a self-forming lumbar pad that you mold to fit your back. The fully padded, extra wide waist host the self-forming lumbar pad and the rear centered, drop mount fire shelter holder. Your fire shelter can be accessed quickly with the pull of the rip cord located on you belt. All other components - shoulder harness, auxiliary pack, water bottle holders, fussee holders and fanny pack are modular. You can add to or detach components to match your daily assignment or situation. Modular components are secured with a snap and lock system that is rugged, reliable, easy to operate and secure.
