Through the development of the original SCENEdots™, we have found through our testing that there is no standard for tread spacing among tread plate manufacturers. We have found as many as three different tread spacings within the fleet of one department. As founder of this new method of striping diamond tread plate, we have proven through considerable research and development that one-dot-at-a-time is the only method of application that is guaranteed to work on every fire truck.
