Crossfire® Master Stream Monitor

Crossfire utilizes the Safe-Tak valve to help ensure firefighter safety. It’s a
lever-operated butterfly valve connected to a foot on the base of the monitor.
In normal operation, the valve is open allowing maximum flow of 1,250
gpm. However, should the monitor start to tip for any reason, the valve
closes, cutting the flow area by 90% and reducing the reaction force. By not
closing completely, it allows a continued flow, minimizing water hammer.
