Shoemaker Jet Siphon
Shoemaker Jet Siphon

The ultimate tool for efficient water transfer operations - the Shoemaker Jet Siphon Assembly. This robust and lightweight device is your one-stop solution for transferring water at an impressive rate of 500 gallons per minute (GPM) between portable tanks.

Created with ease of use in mind, this assembly can be deployed in mere minutes, all by a single individual. This feature makes it an excellent choice for fire departments that use multiple drop tank operations. Pre-assembled and ready to use straight from the storage, this jet siphon requires no time-consuming connections when carried pre-connected on your pumper.

The assembly is meticulously crafted from durable aluminum and brass, offering a rigid and reliable structure that meets the rigorous demands of emergency scenarios. Its robustness and reliability make it superior to traditional jet siphon nozzles that require connections to additional hard suction hoses and must be secured before use.

This product eliminates the need for extra hose, experience, and time, maximizing efficiency during crucial moments. Safety is paramount with our Jet Syphon Assembly; it avoids undesired agitation that could lead to the loss of the suction prime, a common issue with conventional siphons.

Certified and field-tested, the Self-Contained Jet Syphon Assembly is a game-changer in swift water transfer and drop tank operations. Make the intelligent choice and equip your team with this state-of-the-art tool, offering an unparalleled combination of convenience, speed, reliability, and safety. Don't compromise on performance – enhance your operations with our cutting-edge Shoemaker Jet Syphon today.

Features

  • Rapid Deployment: This system is designed for quick set-up. It can be deployed by a single person within minutes, maximizing emergency response time.
  • Efficiency: With a water transfer rate of 500 GPM, this tool significantly speeds up moving water between portable tanks. This can be vital in combating large fires effectively and efficiently.
  • Ease of Use: Unlike traditional jet siphon nozzles that require extra hoses and secure connections before use, this assembly is self-contained and pre-connected, eliminating the need for additional parts and reducing the risk of errors during set-up.
  • Durability: Made from aluminum and brass, the assembly is robust and designed to withstand the demanding conditions often faced by fire departments.
  • Safety: The jet siphon assembly is designed to minimize undesired agitation, which could lead to loss of suction prime. This enhances the system's performance and reduces the risk of operational interruptions, making it safer for fire-fighting teams.
  • Cost and Resource Efficient: This system requires less manual labor and fewer resources to operate. The department can save on costs by reducing the need for additional hoses and equipment.

Instructions for use

  1. Connect the 1.5" supply line to the fitting on top of the jet siphon unit. Note that some departments prefer to leave a 25' section of supply hose pre-connected to the jet siphon for faster deployment.
  2. Place siphon at desired location connecting two tanks. The brass supply tube is to be in the tank you are siphoning from, with the other end filling the tank.
  3. With sufficient water in the drop tank you are siphoning from, open the supply line to the desired pressure. The maximum pressure to be supplied is 125 PSI. To obtain the best transfer rate of 500 GPM, the siphon must have a supply of 60 GPM at 125 PSI.
  4. To discontinue the siphoning operation, close the supply line valve. Some siphoning may continue until the drop tanks are at equal levels. To prevent this, lift up the siphon assembly to interrupt the siphoning effect.

This is a self-contained jet syphon assembly that can be deployed by one person in minutes. The lightweight, rigid assembly is made of aluminum and brass, and has been certified to transfer water at a rate of 500 GPM between portable tanks. Perfect for fire departments utilizing multiple drop tank operations. There are no moving parts and no connections to be made when carried pre-connected on your pumper. This unit is superior to standard jet syphon nozzles that must be connected to additional hard suction hose and secured before use, which takes more time, experience, and additional hose. It is also safer and more reliable than traditional jet syphon nozzles by eliminating undesired agitation which could cause the loss of suction prime.
