RESPONDER-TO-VEHICLE, DIGITAL SAFETY ALERTS

Turns any emergency light bar or brow light into a digital alerting system. When the E-Master or emergency lights are “ON,” apparatus automatically transmits real-time digital safety alerts to motorists. When emergency crews are en route to a call and on-scene, oncoming drivers receive advanced notifications inside their vehicles in a way they can’t miss and have more time to make safe maneuvers. Multiple products available starting as low as $199/year for service. Easy installation means no down-time for vehicles to enable service.

HA-3 TRANSPONDER FEATURES:

  • HAAS Alert system runs passively, requires no effort from emergency personnel
  • iOS/Apple, Android mobile device or tablet with data plan (not included) is required onboard emergency services vehicle or apparatus
  • HAAS Alert partner app available from iOS/Apple and Google Play app stores
  • Transponder compatible with electrical straight-wire and Multiplex vehicle configurations

INSTALLATION

  • Installation can be completed in as little as 10 minutes, requiring no down-time for vehicles.
  • The transponder is powered by a 9V to 30V connection. Vehicle electrical voltage is typically ~12V. The transponder must be connected to the constant power supply found on the receiving side of the light bar power switch. This is the switch that activates the light bar.
  • Connect the transponder positive wire to the light bar power wire, and the negative to the ground wire. The light bar power wire must have constant power when lights are activated.
  • Make sure you have the most current version of the HAAS Alert app (iOS or Android) installed. Login using secure credentials and make sure Bluetooth on the mobile device is turned “ON.” The HAAS Alert app can be place in the background.
  • Test the setup by turning the light bar switch “ON.” When the app is in the background, a notification message will appear on the mobile device after a few seconds: ”Signal Transmitting.” When the app is in the foreground, the “Standby” message will change to “Alerting.”
  • Once the light bar is turned “OFF,” if the app is in the background, a “Deactivated” notification will appear after ~30 seconds. When the app is in the foreground, status will return back to “Standby” after ~30 seconds.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Make sure Bluetooth on iOS or Android mobile device is turned “ON.”
  • The signal activates simply by turning the E-Master and light bar “ON.”
  • When the app detects the transponder (1-5 seconds), a notification will appear on the mobile device and HAAS Alert will begin transmitting digital lights and sirens in real-time.
  • Emergency mode transmission signal ends ~30 seconds after E-Master and light bar are turned “OFF.”
