VORTEX® Fire Hose Nozzle
Fixed flow VORTEX fire hose nozzle enhances the use of smooth bores and stacked tips by giving firefighters the capability to add a dispersed pattern when needed.
Available in a tip only or with detent ball valve.
The Vortex enhances the use of a smooth bore nozzle. It is intended for installation behind a smoothbore nozzle for use with water or firefighting foam solutions. Twisting the Stream Shaper from "STREAM” to “VORTEX" causes the vanes to pivot proportionally. This induces a gentle spin in the water to create a uniformly dispersed Vortex stream pattern.
Features & Benefits
- Create a dispersed pattern without gating your valve and reducing your fire flow
- Uniformly dispersed Vortex pattern for protection, hydraulic ventilation, or salvage/overhaul
- Six short vanes in the bore of the Vortex reduce turbulence in straight stream
- Vanes are less obtrusive than a typical stream straightener, resulting in virtually no friction loss regardless of which stream pattern is selected
- Large debris easily passes through the vanes of the Vortex
